Technical Delegation on Efficient Energy Grids to Germany – September 10-14, 2012.

The Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce is currently preparing a delegation trip for Canadian executives from the energy sector to Germany on ‘Efficient Electricity Grids’. The delegation visit is supposed to take place from September 10-14, 2012 and is an excellent opportunity to learn more about German state of the art technology and experiences with the transformation of the electricity system. We will visit pilot projects, research institutes as well as industry players to cover the topics energy storage, smart grids and feed-in of renewable energies.

The goal of this mission is to facilitate the exchange between Canadian and German professionals involved in the transformation of the electrical system. A briefing session on the first day will give an overview of German political and economic framework conditions and prepare the participants for the following site visits. Furthermore participants will upfront receive background information on all the reference projects to be visited including contact information. Thanks to the financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology participation for Canadian executives is free of charge, participants are responsible to cover costs for roundtrip airfare, accomodations and meals only.
